Greening IT

Information Technology now uses 3% to 4% of all electricity – and counting. Peter has been a key innovator in finding ways to lower energy use and improve sustainability in IT. He has been a front runner in the movement to cool data centers by using the external environment, now a standard in the industry. He has also led the movement to lower energy use within technology equipment itself.  He led the effort to get the first LEED Innovation point ever awarded for going beyond saving 75% of the IT energy – in a highly awarded green building project.
