Chilled Beams

Peter was the first designer to realize that massive energy savings and improved health could be achieved in laboratories through the use of chilled beam HVAC systems.  He designed the first chilled beam laboratory in the US, the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences.  This system has gone on to become the prefered system for laboratories nationwide.  He continues to be a leader in chilled beam technologies. His recent zero energy design of the Packard Foundation used chilled beams and achieved a measured energy use of 21 kBtu/sf/yr.
